Huntington Center Spring Gala 2014

Join us on May 31, 2014 at Long Island High School for the Arts (Nassau BOCES) 239 Cold Spring Rd. Syosset, NY (just west of Cold Spring Harbor) as LIBT performs “Coppelia Suite” choreographed by David Fernnandez- excerpts from the joyous ballet that celebrates spring and friendship plus Modern and contemporary work from choreographer Saya Harada. Joining LIBT will be Long Island Dance Consortium’s “The Next Generation” project and the teaching artists and students that reside at Huntington Center for Performing Arts, also home to LIBT. Professional gusts stars from American Ballet Theatre will make this a very special event. Don’t miss it! Support performing arts on Long Island.

History

Our History

Huntington Ballet Theatre was founded 26 years ago by Jan Hanniford Goetz, who  envisioned  a chamber sized ballet company comprised of professional dancers and students dancers capable of dancing with noted professionals.

Ms. Goetz, a gifted choreographer, created the company’s first production -The Nutcracker which was heralded by Newsday as one of the best in the area and which the company still performs to this day.
